Baby Friendly hospitals do all they can to promote, support and protect breastfeeding. UCHealth has earned the Baby Friendly designation for two of its hospitals, UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital and UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies, and is working to bring others on board so moms and newborns get the healthiest start.
Caring for patients and families is one of the greatest privileges at UCHealth. Baby Friendly is an international program established by the World Health Organization/ UNICEF to help promote breastfeeding. UCHealth offers many breastfeeding resources including support groups, breast pump rentals, outpatient lactation consultations and individual consultations.
